Welcome to the Snow Much Fun Coed Winter Softball Tournament info page, sponsored by the Dick Currier Memorial Softball Tournament.

The Snow Much Fun Coed Winter Snow Softball Tournament benefits the Prevent Child Abuse Organizations of New Hampshire and Vermont. Dick Currier, whom the Dick Currier Memorial Softball Tournament was named after, had an amazing softspot in his heart for children. While the tournament that is named after him is to help raise money for the Community Cancer Center at Rutland Regional Medical Center, we also felt it was appropriate to do a benefit to help children in Dick's memory.

The tournament will be held at Lebanon High School in Lebanon, NH on January 30-31, 2010. The timing of the tournament is between the AFC/NFC Championship games and the Super Bowl, so come on out and support a great cause while killing some time before Super Bowl weekend. The entry fee will be $225, format will be 6/4 (men/women split) with no EH/DH's, and will be a double elimination 1 pitch tournament. Wooden bats will be used and supplied, please do not bring your own. A person from your own team will pitch to your team, so be ready to swing at anything. No metal spikes allowed for safety reasons. Plastic spikes allowed, but not recommended. Games are 6 innings and teams must be ready to play 20 minutes early after their first game. The tournament for the most part follows the guidelines used at the Freezing Fun For Familes tournament in Barre, VT. Registration deadline is January 18, 2009 so feel free to contact Rick Currier at 802-356-4311 or dcmemorial@aol.com with any questions or to sign up.
